BDB / Bad Day Button
Delete My Info
Bad Day Button is accountless. Delete My Info is tied to this device or install, not to a login profile.
Delete local information in the app
- Open Bad Day Button.
- Open Settings.
- Choose Delete My Info.
- Read the confirmation and choose Delete my info.
You do not need to email anyone for normal in-app deletion.
What Delete My Info removes
- Local check-in history.
- Optional notes stored on this device.
- Local preferences, including onboarding state.
- The local daily reminder and its scheduling preference.
- The anonymous-sharing preference, which is reset to off.
- This app install's local anonymous install ID.
Anonymous shared data
Ordinary use is local-first. If you turn on anonymous sharing and it creates remote data, Delete My Info requests deletion of raw anonymous signals and private membership records tied to the current anonymous identity. It then deletes that Firebase Anonymous Authentication identity before it clears local information.
Optional notes are never included because they are not uploaded. Aggregate counters may be adjusted, and a display record may be removed when it no longer meets a privacy threshold.
If deletion cannot finish right away
If the device is offline, the service is unavailable, or a request is interrupted, the app keeps local information and presents a retry state. It does not report that deletion is complete until the required remote step finishes. Try Delete My Info again after the connection returns.
Because there are no accounts, a lost anonymous identity can limit the app's ability to prove ownership of remote records from an older installation. The app does not create a replacement identity just to attempt deletion of the old one.
