BDB / Bad Day Button

Support

A few practical answers, without making the hard day into homework.

How do I check in?
On Today, choose I'm having a bad day or I'm having a good day. A bad-day check-in can include an intensity and an optional short note. The note stays on your device.
How do I use the daily reminder?
Open Settings and turn on the daily check-in reminder. Choose a time that feels useful. Bad day and Good day actions can create a local check-in from the reminder without asking for an explanation. Your device controls exact delivery timing. On iPhone, you can also touch and hold the Bad Day Button app icon, then choose Bad day or Good day. BDB records that local no-note check-in as soon as iOS opens the app to handle your choice.
How does Collective Mood work?
Collective Mood is designed to show broad anonymous emotional-weather patterns, not people. It does not show names, notes, profiles, exact locations, or individual pins. Anonymous sharing is optional and off by default on iPhone. A separate country setting is also off by default and applies only to future shared check-ins. Android and web keep check-ins local.
What is Patterns+?
Patterns+ offers deeper local pattern views when it is available. Apple manages billing, renewal, cancellation, refunds, payment methods, and purchase restoration. Use Apple subscription settings to manage or cancel it, and use Restore Purchases in the app to restore an eligible Apple purchase.
Where are my notes stored?
Optional notes stay local on your device. They are not uploaded as part of anonymous aggregate sharing.
How do I delete my information?
Open Settings > Delete My Info. It deletes local check-ins, notes, preferences, your local reminder, and the anonymous install ID on that device. Read the Delete Data instructions for deletion boundaries and retry behavior.
Something is not working.
Close and reopen the app first. For reminder trouble, check the device's notification permission and that the reminder is enabled in Settings. For purchase or restoration trouble, check Apple subscription settings and try Restore Purchases when available.
